Terry Manton, owner of Manton Pushrods and son of Noel Manton, has been around racing for over thirty years. Noel, a respected valve train design engineer and former vice president/general manager of Sig Erson Cams, was an avid drag racer and crew chief during the 60’s and 70’s. Terry was 11, when he started spending his summer vacations working with his dad at Sig Erson Cams where he was put in charge of sorting thousands of returned pushrods to determine which could be put back into inventory. This job created an interest in pursuing a career in the manufacturing of this component. At age 12, Terry was introduced to Ed Iskenderian who noticed his enthusiasm, learned of Terry’s interest, and convinced Terry to buy an Elgin pushrod chucker for six hundred dollars. It took him six months of mowing lawns to pay it off. Terry’s desire to learn continued and over the years he met many people involved in motorsports who taught him several different aspects of the racing industry. Terry’s first shop was near a heat treating company where he studied metals, heat treatment and their industrial applications. He then applied his knowledge to valve train technology. Years of pushrod development, hands on experience, and with the enthusiasm and office support of his wife Robin, Manton Pushrods has become the most technically advanced/service oriented pushrod manufacturing company in the world. That’s why many of the most respected people in motorsports use only Manton pushrods and rockerarm adjusting screws. Dedicated to advancements in pushrod and valve train technology, Manton Pushrods is determined to always be #1 in the World.

“Manton’s pushrods have definitely helped to stabilize our valvetrain. We’ve used Manton pushrods for years and won’t use anything else”
